Project Details

For Giving Tuesday Allen & Gerritsen decided to donate their homepage to giving back and pointed the camera at the issue of homelessness in both Boston and Philadelphia. Horizons for Homeless Children, Pine Street Inn, Ready, Willing & Able, The Northeast Animal Shelter, these are four organizations at the forefront of working to eliminate homelessness in all its forms.

After sharing the stories and encouraging others to spread the goodness through social media, the campaign reached 564,834 people. And it raised more than $37,000 in just three weeks. For the charities, it made a small difference. For the agency, it was an unforgettable experience. As the Associate Creative Director on this project, I designed the overall look and feel of the campaign and created a website to effectively showcase the individual stories with clear cut paths into the donation process. Each hero section when clicked would expand to take over the space, playing a video with a link that jumped the visitor down to that organization and donation information. I also worked with the broader team in art directing the video shoots as well as oversaw the brand implementation across social channels.
